The sessions are designed for individuals or small groups looking to improve their money future. Topics that can be covered include;

  • Creating a budget

  • Managing debt

  • Developing a savings habit

  • Save more regularly

  • Setting goals

  • Exploring your attitude to money

  • Identifying needs and wants

  • Choosing the right financial products

  • Insurance

  • Housing

  • Money basics (identifying and counting money, working out change, goals and other foundation money skills)

  • Understanding and checking your credit file

  • Understanding and planning for bills

The sessions are delivered by accredited facilitators with duration and content flexible to fit the needs of each participant. Some participants chose a one-off session whereas others like to have regular check ins to reach their goals.

We can also work with existing groups or organisations that have identified a client base with a specific need, where we can work together to tailor a program. Types of groups we have previously worked with include high schools, disability providers, drug and alcohol support groups, parenting groups and accommodation support services. After completion of the sessions, we are able to offer follow up support in assisting participants to reach their financial goals and navigating financial difficulties.

Who can apply?

The sessions are opened to anyone who believes they may benefit from increasing their money knowledge and skills. Particular groups that content can be tailored to include low-income earners, young people, people with a disability, elder people and indigenous community members.

While the bulk of the sessions are held in Western NSW we encourage individuals or organisations outside this area who are interested to contact us. Depending on group size and location we may be able to visit your area or work with you over the phone.

How do I apply?

Anyone who would like more information is encouraged to contact us or call 02 6331 2010 to discuss how we may be able to help you reach your money goals.
